The aim of this session is to be a meeting point of researchers on life histories problems (optimal maturation age, optimal sex ratio, optimal allocation of the energy budget, evolution of virulence in epidemic models, optimal dispersal rates, etc.) and those working on mathematical population dynamics under the framework of the structured populations, including metapopulation dynamics and structured epidemiological models.

Both topics involve interesting problems related to each other and to evolutionary questions (ESSes, evolutionary attractors, etc.) that we would like to put together in a common session.
